Formed by the current Chairman, Mike Whiston, who was seeking fellow Reliant Scimitar owners in 1991. From the initial small group of mixed marque enthusiasts who answered Mike’s advert, the Club quickly grew to it’s present membership of 40. The members, together with their partners, who are also considered to be full members, are all actively encouraged to attend club meetings and events and to sit on the Clubs’ organising committee.
The cars owned by the members total some 60 vehicles and cover a large spectrum of our motoring history, ranging from a 1952 MG TD to a 1983 Fiat X1-9. The Club is very active, taking part in and organising runs and social events. For four years we have toured Southern Ireland, and then another year some went to the Isle of Man Classic Car Spectacular. We have also toured the Lake District and some have even ventured to France and Norway.
